Come see us over at the English Jr. High Department. We exist to know in relationship God through His Son, aided by the Holy Spirit
intellectually (knowledge of Scripture).
volitionally (choose to trust/obey), and
morally (acting/practicing upon life with justice, love, and mercy).
All toward the end to love each other and others (sharing what God has done for us) because He first loved us--that the world may know He IS.
Embraced by God: It all flows out of God's gracious action toward us. He is always reaching down to where we are, and no matter who we are or what we have done, or where we have been, our God takes us by our hands and leads us, through the cross, unto himself with a strong, yet gentle embrace that reminds us all over again, that our God is truly worthy of our worship and service.
We worship: And so we worship, not out of obligation, but as a proper expression of our gratitude to our amazing God who lavishes us with amazing grace and love.
Grow: And filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, we cannot help but to grow in all ways -- through transformative worship & Bible studies, through deeper relationships with our members, through acts of service within the church and without, in reaching out to those near and far away with the love of Christ.
Love: Always being reminded that loveless pursuits of knowledge leads to arrogance and loveless acts of service leads to feelings of superiority and power, and loveless relationships leads to tension and strife, we will base all of our actions in love -- love for God and love for others.
And Proclaim: And above all, remembering the last words of Jesus, that we should bear the name of Jesus Christ and proclaim the Good News in our neighborhoods and to the ends of the earth, we will be outward looking at all times.
