The teachers took time out of their normal schedule (Thanks T.Lizzy for rescheduling your appointments!) to spend a complete day in fellowship and camaraderie at Newport Beach... the day started with a quick visit to McDonalds for breakfast (due to some late arrivals by some individuals... 0____0) and then down to Newport Beach. Once out of the van, there was much galloping through the sand and much revelry. Then a first group picture (taken by the camera on a hill of sand)... We walked the pier and spied a friend in the water... a seal! =) He was using part of his tail to steer, see how it's upright? T.Eric then spent a good part of 15 minutes regaling us with tales of fishings-past... We then rented bikes... look how cool we look! Photo was taken by the brick fence of someone's yard... =) We cycled past beautiful houses and beaches and got to enjoy God's creation in the waters and vistas... and even show a few natural e Christmas trees! =) Lunch at pizza place... with pesto pizza *mmmmmmmm* and fried zucchini... PC has bitten into his sub already!

Two-peat... Yut DYNASTY... GSJHM showed their pro-skills with their representatives, T.Ann, T. Steve, T. Lizzy & Deacon Park... there was a last minute substitution with helicopter technique T.Eric... and we were aided with former Jr High teacher- TV, who proved his heart is still with GSJHM by 'helping' throw the sticks off the blanket mat multiple times... =) There was some minor conflict between Hong members belonging to different factions (Jessica representative of High School and T. Jonathan was helping to ref) and we were definitely working against the odds with the senior refereee, host and former GSJHM-deacon- Elder Chung, judging and strategizing against us but we were victorious... =) Our host even provided a giftcard of $25 to Starbucks as a prize which we will use with much gratitude! Much thanks to the staff of high school and especially to our hosts, the Chung family (especially Mrs Chung for her delicious food), for making this evening one to remember! We learned about our website and resources for parents to find what their children are learning at Friday Night Bible Study and Sunday School (www.gsjhm.weebly.com), www.yahoogroups.com, about not putting a computer in children's rooms, but in public family places, our upcoming winter program, and about the book "30 Ways in 30 Days to Save Your Family" by Rebecca Hagelin.
