We had our annual Christmas dinner and Yut-No-Ri tournament at Elder Chung's House on December 18th, 2010. The photos speak for themselves and the food was so yummy and the games were so fun (with a first round: 'flick the little pieces off a table' that featured a Park family potential domination i.e. Teacher Steve and Jocelyn Park... =D) that it's hard to decide which to enlarge... an evening to remember...
It is our hope to raise up a future generation where our students will not be intimidated to become small group or Bible Study leaders, but that it will be part of their natural Christian development.

Is hereby recognized for Reading the entire Bible from January - December 2010. How can we obey, that which we do not trust? How can we trust, that which we do not believe? How can we believe, that which we do not know? How can we know, that which we do not learn? How do we learn, that which we do not read. As disciples, we believe God first loved us, even when we were His enemies. He regenerated and raised our soul from spiritual death. He has called us out of the darkness to embrace His Son -- Jesus, the Light of the world. God, through the Holy Spirit, continues to transform us to be more like Christ. As His children, we read, listen, learn, and obey Him in Scripture, God’s special revelation and message to His people. We read in order to learn and obey GOD -- out of gratitude for His sacrificial gift to us in Christ Jesus our personal Savior and Lord. Tae Hyung Ko, Reverend, Senior Pastor Clark Choi, Jr. High Pastor Jr. High Ministry: “To Educate and Practice, True Christian Faith-Living, Daily.” * Isaiah 55:10-11 Thank you Judy Choi's family for your hospitality and hosting our January T.Meeting place. We're grateful for your partnership in raising up your children for Jesus! Can you see the feet behind the wall. The 2nd child, Matthew was a little shy.
Pastor Sam Talbert (www.e3partners.org) was the speaker for our seminar, "The 7 Laws of the Learner" from Walk Thru the Bible Ministries. A hardy thank you goes out to Zion Temple Community Church for hosting this event . From 8 to 4, we learned so much! It wasn't just information for Sunday School Teachers, but learning for anyone. But especially for Christians who should be students of the Word. One of the great lessons was that anyone can lead another to Christian maturity and growth, so long as they're growing!
A small group can ask each other the following: 1. What do you like about the passage? Then everyone shares. 2. What bothered you about the passage? What was hard or difficult for you? Everyone shares. 3. What'd you learn about God? Everyone shares. 4. What did you learn about yourself, or people from the passage? Everyone shares. 5. What are you going to do about it? Write it down. Share. 6. Who are you going to tell about it? Share. ***Next week, you come back, and start with how you did with step 5 and 6. And everyone shares, and if everyone hasn't done it, the whole group waits again. This will vary from group to group, b/c you don't want people leaving for feeling TOO much pressure. But this does bring true accountability in love. Laws of the Learner L = Learner "Cause to Learn" - The teacher should accept the responsibility of causing students to learn. E = Expectation "Expect the Best" - The teacher should influence students' learning by adjusting expectations. A = Application "Apply for Lifechange" - The teachers should stimulate lifechange in students by properly applying the Scriptures. R = Retention "Master the Minimum" - The teacher should enable students to enjoy maximum mastery of the irreducible minimum. N = Need "Build the Need" - The teacher should surface the students' real need before teaching the content. E = Equipping "Equip for Service" - The teacher should train students for a life of service and edification. R = Revival "Revive the Heart" - The teacher should encourage an ongoing personal revival in students' lives. *** NOTE: every Christian should constantly be training for being equipped to revive the heart of others. Thank you t.Lizzy for working with the jr high group for our body worship: "Saving Grace". Thank you t.Eric & Jr. High Praise Band for practicing the song. Thank you Lord for giving us an opportunity to bless those who watched. Thank you Jr. High Youth for all those weeks of preparation! Pictures below were from sessions you all practiced and ate pizza. Love you all! --pc
