The day of the Purity Ceremony (May 7, 2010, Friday), our Jr. High joined with the other ministries to make carnations for Mother's day. And then a short message based on Philippians 4:8, and a prayer and signing of the Purity Certificates before friends and family. Our princesses! Committed to being pure before God. The Friday Night sessions for 8th grade boys and 8th grade girls were led by t.eric and t.lizzy, respectively. They both covered "Our Identity, Our Self-Image in Christ." While the 8th graders were being educated, 6th graders and 7th graders were outside under the tents practicing for the Westminster Shorter Catechism's test in June. The NCO's helped lead the other students. We did this by practicing using songs to help them memorize the doctrines of our faith and drinking hot cocoa. (Who says you can't LEARN and have FUN too????) On Saturday, May 1, the 8th graders returned to church at 9 in the morning for the other seminars. T.Ann (How to Handle Emotions) and T.Eric (Purity) led in the morning. In the afternoon, T. Danny led "How to Handle Emotions" and T.Sharon led "Purity". T. Steve and T.Sharon concluded with "How to Set Goals"
